Award-Winning Marketing Professional Carene Kunkler
A marketing executive with nearly four decades of experience, Carene Kunkler spent nine years as the vice president of product supply with LensCrafters. In addition to handling product development, purchasing, and distribution of eyeglass frames and lenses throughout North America, Carene Kunkler grew sales and profits through the introduction of new branded lens products including Duralens and Durathins.
Previously, Ms. Kunkler worked as a brand manager with The Procter & Gamble Company, where her rebranding efforts with Pert Shampoo made the product a market leader and earned a World Class Copy award in the beauty care division. Her achievements with the Procter & Gamble test market of Pert shampoo were highlighted in the Wall Street Journal article about the dramatic turn around of Pert shampoo.
Carene Kunkler holds a bachelor of science and a master of business administration in marketing from Michigan State University, where she was president of the Marketing Club and an academic advisor. A continued supporter of her alma mater, she particularly enjoys following the school’s basketball and women’s rugby teams.
